Sun-Earth, Originally established as Ningbo Semiconductor Factory in 1966, has been at the forefront of solar technology development for over five decades.

Leveraging regenerated silicon wafers, we manufactured China's first civilian photovoltaic modules, marking a new era in semiconductor applications.

1999
1999

We expanded our operations and founded Ningbo Solar Power Co., Ltd., which later evolved into a global player under the 'Sun-Earth' and 'Nbsolar' brands.

Ningbo Sun Earth products were being extensively exported to Europe and the United States, and Sun-Earth became one of the first Chinese companies to achieve European certifications like CE and TUV.

Sun-Earth becoming the first Chinese company certified by the U.S. UL and CEC .

Sun-Earth became the first Chinese Company to build megawatt-scale grid-connected power station in the U.S., showcasing our international capabilities and technological leadership.

Sun Earth Solar were among the first private enterprises to invest in and construct a 30 megawatt-level ground solar station on Tibet Plateau.

Ningbo Sun Earth operations moved to a new manufacturing base in Beilun District, which spans over 50 acres and produces up to 1 GW annually.

Sun Earth Solar underwent a technological upgrade, adopting a fully automated production line and increasing our capacity to 5 GW.

Sun-Earth had captured a top 5 market share in Italy's photovoltaic market, demonstrating our strong international presence.

Sun Earth phased out outdated capacities and fully transitioned to producing industry-leading N-type TopCon cell technology and double-glass modules, continuing our commitment to innovation and excellence in solar technology.
